Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply when you use this website and when you buy from Debbie's Cabin.

Last updated 1 May 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply to everyone who uses this website and to every order placed through it. By browsing the site or placing an order you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or place an order.

Nothing in these terms takes away any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002.

2. Please note: the website is under development

This website is currently under new development. Products, prices, descriptions and images shown here may be incomplete, out of date, imported from our previous website, or included for demonstration purposes only.

Please confirm all pricing and product details with us before purchasing. Nothing on this website should be relied on as a final quotation.

3. Products and descriptions

We do our best to describe our products accurately, but errors do happen. Colours may display differently on different screens, fabric and thread shades can vary between dye lots, and measurements, specifications, images and availability may be incorrect or out of date.

All products are subject to availability. Listing a product on this website does not guarantee that it is in stock.

4. Prices and pricing errors

All prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR) and may change without notice. Delivery charges are added at checkout unless we say otherwise.

Despite our best efforts, a product may be listed at an incorrect price, or with an incorrect description, specification or stock level. Where we discover a material error of this kind, we reserve the right to cancel the order or to decline to supply the product. We are not obliged to supply any product at an incorrect price, and we will not be liable for any loss, cost, expense or damage you may suffer as a result of such an error or cancellation.

If this happens, we will contact you as soon as we can. You may then either confirm the order at the corrected price, or cancel it and receive a full refund of any amount already paid. Refunds will be made to the original payment method.

5. Orders and acceptance

Placing an order on this website is an offer to buy, not a concluded sale. A contract only comes into existence when we accept your order — normally when we confirm it, or when we dispatch the goods, whichever happens first.

We may refuse or cancel an order at any time, including where the product is unavailable, where the price or description was incorrect, where payment is not authorised, or where we suspect fraud or an error. If we cancel an order after you have paid, we will refund you in full.

6. Payment

Payment is made using the methods shown at checkout. Card payments are processed securely by a third-party payment provider; we do not see or store your full card details. An order will not be accepted until payment has been received or authorised.

7. Delivery

Delivery times are estimates only and depend on the courier and your location. We are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, strikes, weather, load-shedding or other events outside our control. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

8. Returns, cancellations and refunds

If an item arrives faulty, damaged or is not what you ordered, contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will arrange a repair, replacement or refund.

Unused items in their original, undamaged packaging may be returned within 14 days of delivery for a refund, provided you contact us first and arrange the return. Return delivery costs are for your account unless the item was faulty or incorrect.

For hygiene and quality reasons, cut fabric, opened batting, patterns and downloadable products cannot be returned once used or opened.

Where the law gives you a cooling-off right for an electronic transaction, you may cancel within that period without reason or penalty. Your statutory rights are always in addition to our returns policy.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Debbie's Cabin will not be liable for any indirect, special or consequential loss, loss of profit or loss of opportunity arising from your use of this website or from a product or order.

Our total liability in respect of any order is limited to the amount you paid for the product concerned. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

10. Intellectual property

The content of this website — including text, images, logos, patterns and designs — belongs to Debbie's Cabin or is used with permission. You may not copy, resell or republish it without our written consent. Patterns and kits we sell are for personal, non-commercial use.

11. Using the website

You agree to give us accurate information when ordering and communicating with us, and not to misuse the site, attempt to interfere with its operation, or use it for unlawful purposes. We may suspend or restrict access where we believe the site is being misused.

The site may contain links to third-party websites or services, such as our payment provider or Facebook. We are not responsible for their content or their own terms and privacy practices.

12. Governing law and complaints

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.

If you have a complaint, please contact us first at info@debbiescabin.co.za or on 082 775 9983 so we can try to resolve it. You may also approach the National Consumer Commission or the Consumer Goods and Services Ombud.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as our shop or the law changes. The version published on this page at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order.

Your personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
